Today was the first day visiting Sadie in the NICU. My friend Christine was kind enough not only to take me to Valley Presbyterian, pushed my wheelchair, stayed with me, snapped some precious pictures, helped keep me company, and even allow...ed me to nap when I became exhausted. Of course I cried even before Sadie was placed in my arms. She is so tiny, and I became overwhelmed with emotion. She has had her IV removed. They tried to bottle feed her, but she let us know she's not quite ready. She has a sweet Christmas stocking that someone made her. They are hoping to move her out of the isolette soon. Christine brought me home this afternoon and I was able to nap with the dogs. David and I went back tonight, and he was able to experience all I had earlier. It truly was a remarkable day. A huge thank you to Christine for helping make today so special.

First real hold with Daddy.

Sadie opened both eyes to look at her daddy.

So tiny.
